Renewing Your Contract for Spring & Fall Terms December 14, 2011

Depending on whether you’re continuing straight through Spring to Fall or not, and whether or not you want to change your room, different contract renewal processes are required.
The deadline to renew your Winter Term room for Spring Term is March 15. Current rooms will not be available to renew for next Fall until May– if you try to renew your room for Fall 2012 before then you will receive an application error.
Note that rooms on Lions Manor 4th floor and McFeetors Hall 3rd, 5th, and 6th floors are not available as Spring Term rooms (as they are used for the Hostel Program).
The deadline to renew your Spring Term room for Academic Year 2012-13 is June 15, 2012.
Furnished Dorms and Apartments
If you are leaving for the Spring session but will return next Fall:
[1] Do NOT create a Spring 2012 Term Application.
[2] Create an Academic Year 2012-13 Term Application once it becomes available. Since you are leaving and returning, you are not be able to select the “renew your current room” option – you are creating a new application rather than renewing. Select your room type preferences from the application options.
If you are staying through Spring/Summer Term but not next Fall:
[1] Create a Spring 2012 Term Application. (a) If you want to renew your current room for Spring select “Renew your current room” at step 6. (b) If you want a different room in Spring, do NOT select “Renew your current room”; instead select your room type preferences from the options. NOTE: If you will be staying in Residence for less than the full Spring Term, please notify the Housing Office at the time of application.
[2] Do NOT create an Academic Year 2012-13 Term Application.
If you are staying through both Spring/Summer and next Fall:
[1] Create a Spring 2012 Term Application. (a) If you want to renew your current room in Spring select “Renew your current room” at step 6. If you want a different room in Spring, do NOT select “Renew your current room”; instead select your room type preferences from the options. NOTE: If you will be staying in Residence for less than the full Spring Term, please notify the Housing Office at the time of application.
[2] (a) If you want to renew your Spring 2012 Term room through next Fall, wait to create Academic Year 2012-13 until the Housing Office announces that room renewals are available. Then create an Academic Year 2012-13 application and select the option to renew your room. (b) If you want a different room in Fall 2012 Term, create an Academic Year 2012-13 Term Application as soon as it becomes available. Select your room type preferences from the application options.
Unfurnished Apartments
If you will continue from Spring through next Fall:
[1] Do NOT create a Spring 2012 Term Application – you already have a Spring booking.
[2] (a) If you want to renew your current room through next Fall, do NOT create an Academic Year 2012-13 Term Application now. Instead, wait until a Housing Office renewal notification is sent (approximately May 15). (b) If you want a different room in Fall 2012 Term, create an Academic Year 2012-13 Term Application once it becomes available. Select your room type preferences from the application options.
